Grant Lalla | Rehab Specialist
You’ll find Grant overseeing our rehab exercise program mornings at KCC. Grant has always wanted to be a professional baseball player growing up. But after playing throughout college, his passion switched to training as he fell in love with the weight room. He enjoyed working with strength and speed. Now he wants more than anything to be a coach for others, making a positive impact on everyone he works with. Grant feels our bodies are capable of more than we can imagine and we’re designed to MOVE.
Grant received his B.S. in Exercise Science from Bryan College. He chose this school and course of study because he felt both would prepare him for his future career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Grant feels that as a society we have become extremely reliant on “quick fixes,” and thus lose sight of what it truly means to live a healthy and long-lasting life. He believes we should always stay learning and never become complacent in our pursuit of health.
According to Grant, what are the factors that have the most effect on health?
- Spiritual Growth
- Exercise Daily for 20-30 minutes (preferably outside), including resistance training as frequently as possible
- Nutrition and water intake
- Sleep
- Limiting screen time
Grant says, “Because our bodies were meant to move, we should not rely on a magic pill or excessive amounts of supplements to make us feel “good.” Movement is medicine!”
What’s one of Grant’s favorite quotes?
“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love have been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” –Romans 5:3-5
We feel very grateful to have Grant on our KCC team, and we are sure you will find your experience with him in the rehab room will take you on a great course toward improved and optimal health!
