Seeing how happy his grandmother was when she realized he was pursuing a career in occupational therapy, was all the inspiration Danny Winecki needed to complete his Masters in Occupational Therapy with an emphasis on Physical Rehabilitation. Danny received his advanced education at North Central College in Naperville. At the core, describing Danny’s belief system are the words of JRR Tolkien, “There is some good in this world and it’s worth fighting for.” Always seeking to do good, Danny says he will daily go out of his way to learn as much as he can to help the patients he works with in our KCC Rehab department.

People who meet Danny can’t help but notice his incredibly pleasant and professional demeanor as he figures out ways to help everyone reach their health goals. He says he also gets compliments on his huge smile and his hair antenna (man bun) but it’s his ability to help individuals get back to strongly leading a happy life that is what patients ultimately remember about this amazing professional ongoing.

Danny believes his greatest achievement in life so far is marrying his beautiful wife, Jojo. In his time away from work, Danny enjoys working out, reading, tending his garden and playing new instruments. Interestingly enough, early on in life Danny wanted to grow up to be a skateboarder and rock star. He stopped skating but is still playing music so who knows what the future holds. One way or another, we believe Danny is quite the rock star at KCC, assisting our patients in realizing better health through guidance that is fun, practical and results-driven!
